Marketing, Design and Communication Trainee

NCT Consultants is looking for an ambitious Marketing, Design & Communication Trainee to support our events and consultancy business. NCT Consultants uses traineeships as a recruitment tool to find new talent to join our team.

The environment

NCT Consultants is a global group of companies that contributes to America’s, Europe’s and Coalition Countries’ warfighter’s and first responder’s mission and capabilities to counter the threats of weapons of mass destruction and mitigate its effects (WMD/E). We support this mission by providing knowledge & networking, training and assist in building global partner capacities and partnerships. NCT Consultants organizes events, supports agencies in their mission, and contributes to training and readiness efforts.

You will be working within an international team of talented junior and highly skilled consultants. NCT Consultants has an informal and flat organizational structure. We will set goals and expect you to reach them. Do not expect us to take you by the hand and tell you what to do. If you ask for help, you will get it, but it is your responsibility to deliver what you promised to produce!

Tasks

The trainee’s tasks will include:

  • Support the marketing manager in daily administrative tasks
  • Support the events project manager in developing event related communication
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, mass mailing and web)
  • Manage and update the company’s website with a CSS similar to WordPress.

The profile

The ideal candidate is passionate about marketing communication and events, is strongly committed, hardworking and has and has an eye for detail. Further, the ideal candidate is proactive, flexible and pleasant, also while working under pressure. Working at NCT Consultants takes a highly developed team spirit, while having the ability to work independently and with little supervision.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the English language, and preferably able to speak another language
  • Educational background in Marketing and Communication at a HBO, BA or MA level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of WordPress or similar
  • Excellent organizational skills and practical attitude
  • Strong analytical skills, a curious mind and being creative at the same time (out of the box thinking)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Have international experience (study abroad and/or internships)
  • No criminal record that could result in refusal of a security clearance (Restricted level)

This traineeship provides a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience in an international environment and could be the start of a career in the exciting world of security consultancy and events, within a growing company where rapid progression is possible. NCT Consultants uses traineeships as a recruitment tool.  We offer a full-time internship (in presence from the office in Leiden) for a period of 6 months with a compensation of Euro 500 per month.
